The pioneers of “Software-Defined Rock and Roll” are turning to one of the tech industries most exciting trade shows to find its new bass player. According to Bite Back Records, Mötörclöüd lost their bass player Ant “vMan” Anthony last week in a freak vMotion incident when Anthony attempted to vMotion himself from one tour bus to another…. at 80MPH. They have not seen him since.
Says label CEO Edgar King, “This is a sad day for not only Mötörclöüd, but the entire Bite Back Records family. Anthony would want us all to drive on and show that his band is as resilient as the infrastructure he used to create during his day job.”
Enter VMworld.
In the VMworld session Smells Like Team Spirit: Achieve Hybrid Operations Nirvana with vCloud Air, fans will have a chance to help select the next bass player for the hottest band in the cloud. And at least one fan will walk away the winner of some rockin’ prizes.
According to lead singer Mack Vance, “if Anthony does return one day… we can worry about it then. But until then, we have rockin’ and rollin’ and hybrid cloud deployin’ to do! LET THERE BE CLOUD!”
Adds guitarist Hollywood Harold, “look man, it’s a drag “vMan” can’t finish the tour with us, but there’s a lot of talented people out there and one of them is gonna get a shot. Speaking of which, where’s my shot glass, man?”
So if you happen to be at VMworld this week, be sure to check out Smells Like Team Spirit: Achieve Hybrid Operations Nirvana to follow the next chapter in the adventures of Mötörclöüd.
